Faculty and students got into the Holiday spirit for the start of our “Winter Wonderland” week with festive headgear and socks today. We even had our own Rudolph to lead the way for us.

Tuesday brought us Blizzard day and Wednesday was Ugly Christmas Sweater. Thrusday was the battle of the Christmas colors where Red was the overwhelming winner!

Friday was Christmas Bazaar day, where students shopped for gifts for family and friends and were even able to meet and take photos with Santa!

This week, December 12th through December 16th will be “Winter Wonderland Week” at Holy Cross. Students are permitted to wear themed clothing and accessories with their school uniforms Monday through Thursday. Friday for our Christmas Bazaar will be a FULL holiday dress-down day. The students learned about the Advent season today with Father Kiernan.

First and seventh-grade buddies got together today to work on a Thanksgiving activity. Everyone did great work! Gobble Gobble!

The 8th grade had a debate about the narrator’s reliability after reading one of the stories in their weekly collections. There were 2 groups and a jury with Mrs. Williams as the judge.

Today the Springfield Fire Department met with our Pre-K 3, 4, and Kindergarten students to talk about Fire Safety. The students learned what to do if they ever find themselves in a fire, how to stop, drop and roll, and about the firefighters’ clothing.  They even had a chance to try squirting the fire hose. Miss Leicht even got to try on one of the firefighters’ clothes.
